A reflection on the Siva Sutras;

nartaka ātmā
The self is the dancer. Such a dancer, the very Self, by the subtle play of his own vibratory activity, and purely within himself, unfolds and reveals the various and multiple roles that she or he plays. These varied aspects of waking and deep sleep have as their basis the essential nature of pure consciousness itself, which remains deeply concealed within him.
